Michael O'Malley MS, LAc.During the last few decades, we have seen a tremendous shift in the way we approach our health care choices. For many, this was essential because of a system that has grown increasingly expensive while providing mediocre relief at best. For others, it has been an incredible tool in prevention through addressing conditions before they got worse. In any case, the benefits of acupuncture are becoming apparent as more and more people throughout the world turn to this ancient form of medicine.

When I meet people who have never had acupuncture, I usually hear how fascinated they are because it sounds so exotic. I'm often asked, "But does it really work?".

Yes! Acupuncture works for many conditions, from back pain, sports injuries, digestive complaints, asthma, allergies, anxiety, depression, and the list goes on. In order to address as many conditions as possible, my practice combines three different style of acupuncture - Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Japanese, and American Physical Medicine (APM), which includes trigger point dry needling. If you are not familiar with these styles, don't worry. They are all based on Classical Chinese Acupuncture, but represent different regional and stylistic changes that have evolved over thousands of years. Through combining these three styles, I have seen that my patients respond more effectively to a wider range of conditions.
